Inaugural meeting of the new term of office of the Scientific Council
Skierniewice, November 17, 2025
On November 17th of this year, the first meeting of the 5th-term Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute in Skierniewice. During the meeting, the importance of the Council's work in key areas of the Institute's operations was emphasized.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development: Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak and Director of the Department of Knowledge Transfer and Social Affairs Marcin Tomaszewski. Their presence highlighted the importance of cooperation between the Institute and the ministry in creating innovative solutions for the horticultural sector.
During the meeting, appointments and nominations were presented to new Council members, followed by the election of the Presidium. Professor Grzegorz Łysiak from the Poznań University of Life Sciences was appointed Chairman. Deputy Minister Adam Nowak highlighted the Institute's role in the development of the horticultural sector, appreciating its achievements to date and directions for future development. During the upcoming term, the Council will support strategic decisions regarding the Institute's scientific activities and continue its efforts to strengthen its position as a key center for horticultural research.
