SCOPE OF RESEARCH CONDUCTED
- Monitoring of insects, mites and nematodes in organic and conventional fruit and vegetable crops.
- Development and improvement of methods for signaling the occurrence of pests of fruit, vegetable and ornamental crops and for their control.
- Identification of nematodes, mites and insects.
- Analysis of soil, substrate and plants for the presence of nematodes.
- Detection of resistant races of mites and insects to selected groups of zoocides by biochemical analysis.
- Assessment of the biological effectiveness of acaricides, insecticides, ovicides, molluscicides, nematicides, talpicides, rodenticides, biostimulants, plant extracts, plant growth regulators, repellents, biopreparations, living organisms, adjuvants in reducing pests of field and greenhouse crops. These studies constitute the basis for the registration of new protection agents in Poland and other European countries.
- Development and updating of methodologies, guides for integrated protection and production of horticultural crops and protection programs for vegetable, ornamental and fruit plants.
- Advice on protecting horticultural crops against pests.
