SCOPE OF RESEARCH CONDUCTED
- Optimization of methods of growing vegetables under cover in closed circuits and of the cultivation parameters of soilless substrates, traditional ones and those containing processed biodegradable waste used in the cultivation of vegetable plants.
- Improving the ecological method of growing vegetables.
- Study of the influence of various cultivation factors and agrotechnical treatments on the growth, yield and quality of vegetable plants.
- Evaluation of the suitability of varieties for different growing conditions, production methods and systems.
- Assessment of the economic value and quality of new vegetable varieties, suitability of fertilizers and substrates, and growth stimulants in field and covered cultivation,
- Diagnostics of bacterial and fungal diseases of mushrooms,
- Analysis of the growing medium and mushroom casing for the presence of fungal and bacterial pathogens and pests occurring in mushroom cultivation,
- Evaluation of the effectiveness of plant protection products and disinfectants (chemical, biological) in reducing mushroom diseases,
- Protection of mushroom crops against diseases – updating and developing a mushroom protection program, consulting in the protection and cultivation of mushrooms,
- Determining the suitability of substrate and casing additives for mushroom cultivation,
- Determining the suitability of new mushroom mycelium races.
