APPLE ROOTSTOCKS

P 14
Vegetative semi-dwarf rootstock for apple trees, with a growth force similar to or slightly greater than M.26. Frost resistance is medium-high. Susceptibility to scab is low, to powdery mildew is medium, to fire blight is medium. It grows well with all varieties cultivated in Poland.

P 16
Vegetative dwarf rootstock for apple trees, with a growth force similar to M.9. Frost resistance average to low, similar to M.9 rootstock. Susceptibility to scab low, to powdery mildew average, ring rot of the trunk base average, fire blight high. It grows well with all varieties recommended for cultivation in Poland. It is distinguished by high yield of varieties grafted onto it.

P 22
Vegetative dwarf rootstock for apple trees. High frost resistance. Low susceptibility to scab and powdery mildew, medium ring rot of the base of the trunk, low fire blight. Varieties grafted on P 22 require the use of supports and should be grown on fertile soils with regulated water relations or with the use of irrigation.

P 59
Vegetative dwarf rootstock for apple trees with slightly lower growth strength than M.9. Frost resistance is quite high, similar to M.26 rootstock. Susceptibility to scab and powdery mildew is low, ring rot of the trunk base is medium, fire blight is low. Varieties grafted onto P 59 require the use of supports.

P 60
Vegetative rootstock, with growth strength intermediate between dwarf and semi-dwarf rootstocks (between M.9 and M.26). Resistance to frost quite high, similar to M.26. Susceptibility to scab and powdery mildew low, ring rot of the trunk base medium, fire blight low. Varieties grafted onto P 60 require the use of supports. The rootstock grows well with varieties recommended for cultivation in Poland.

P 66
P 66 is a valuable dwarf vegetative rootstock, due to its frost resistance and low susceptibility to economically important diseases. It grows well with many apple varieties, so it can be an alternative to the standard M.9 rootstock.

P 67
P 67 is a valuable dwarf vegetative rootstock, due to its frost resistance and low susceptibility to economically important diseases. It grows well with many apple varieties, so it can be an alternative to the standard M.9 rootstock.
