Seminar on "Assessment of the quality of nursery material"
On December 21, 2021, the Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute held an online seminar
entitled "Assessment of the quality of nursery material", prepared as part of the implementation of task 3.12 "Development and updating of nursery material assessment methodologies" - targeted subsidy from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The seminar was coordinated by Dr. Paweł Bielicki - manager of task 3.12, president of the Elite Nursery Material Center of the Institute of Horticulture - National Research Institute in Prusy.
The following topics were discussed during the webinar:
- Implementation of work on the development and update of methodologies for the assessment of nursery material in 2021 – Dr. Pawel Bielicki
- Viral diseases of nursery material of fruit plants – Dr. Hab. Mirosława Cieślińska, prof. IO
- Fire blight in orchards and nurseries – harmfulness, detection, current control strategy – Prof. Dr. Hab. Piotr Sobiczewski
The meeting was broadcast via YouTube was played 660 times. Participants included: employees of the Provincial Inspectorates for Plant Protection and Seed Inspection, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture, the Agricultural Chamber, the Central Center for Research on Cultivar Plants and advisors from Agricultural Centers, as well as representatives of nurseries.
