Training "Diagnosis of diseases of selected fruit plant species"

On December 8, 2025, the Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute organized an online training course on disease diagnosis of selected fruit plant species. This activity was prepared as part of Target Task 10.1, "Conducting dissemination activities, cooperation, and knowledge exchange with practitioners within the AKIS system," financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Two presentations were presented during the training. Dr. Monika Michalecka presented a lecture on methods for diagnosing berry plant diseases, prepared in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Hab. Mirosława Cieślińska. Hubert Głos, M.A., will introduce the audience to the diagnosis of storage diseases in apples and pears.
The meeting generated considerable interest, attracting nearly 300 participants. The audience included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural advisory services, plant protection and seed inspectorates, fruit producers, academics, and individuals associated with the horticultural industry. This broad representation confirmed that the topics discussed remain important and necessary for horticultural practice.
