Training "Fertilization and liming in horticultural crops"

On December 4, 2025, an online training course entitled "Fertilization and liming in horticultural crops" was held, organized by the Institute of Horticulture - National Research Institute
as part of the targeted task 4.1 "Rational fertilization", financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The training was opened by Dr. Jacek Nowak, the head of the targeted task, who welcomed the participants
and presented the thematic scope of the meeting prepared by IO-PIB employees.
The first part of the training, led by Dr. Zbigniew Buler, covered orchard planning and establishment, including site selection, environment, and soil preparation. Dr. Jacek Nowak then presented on fertilization in ornamental plant nurseries. The entire training integrated these two areas, emphasizing the importance of proper planning, proper plant care, and nutrition for achieving healthy and productive crops.
The event generated considerable interest, attracting approximately 300 participants to their computer screens. The training was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Agricultural Advisory Centers, Provincial Plant Protection and Seed Inspectorates, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture, the National Support Center for Agriculture, Chemical-Agricultural Stations, the Central Center for Research on Cultivar Testing, agricultural chambers, certification bodies, as well as representatives of universities, agricultural schools, industry companies, and producers.
