Representatives of the Institute of Horticulture are eager to cooperate with entrepreneurs on the most important research issues in the area of horticulture, environmental problems and sustainable use of natural resources. This is achieved by providing space for interdisciplinary research groups consisting of representatives of many environments.
As a result of jointly undertaken activities, dedicated technical solutions or products are created that meet the needs of entrepreneurs. They bring tangible benefits to both the Institute and partners from the industrial sector, who receive product and process innovations, and as a result, increase in competitiveness and revenues.
The offer addressed to representatives of industry and consumers enjoys particular interest in the part concerning innovative products from fruits and vegetables. The Institute, in cooperation with processing companies, develops technologies for the production of, among others, cloudy juices with high health-promoting values and chips from fruits and vegetables, which can become an attractive alternative to potato chips.
In addition, in response to the needs of clients, the Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute annually conducts a number of studies in the area of assessment of new plant protection products or their forms of use, as well as numerous expert opinions and commissioned works, concerning, among others, the development of consortiums of beneficial microorganisms stimulating plant growth and yield. The Institute also provides services in the field of pre-registration studies of the effectiveness of new products that may be approved for use in the production of fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants.
