XVII International Fruit Conference "Berry Trends 2021"

On December 8-9 this year, the 2021th International Fruit Growing Conference "Jagodowe Trendy 17" was held at the Puławy Cultural Center, over which the Institute of Horticulture - National Research Institute assumed substantive patronage. For XNUMX years, the "Jagodowe Trendy" conference has allowed fruit growers to establish direct contacts with advisors, scientists, traders, producers and distributors of means of production. In addition, the event is an excellent opportunity to exchange views and strengthen direct cooperation between fruit growers themselves.

This year's edition, as always, gathered many specialists who, during their presentations, touched on topics important from the point of view of the current situation on the fruit market. Among the speakers were also specialists representing our unit:

  • Dr. Hab. Eligio Malusa, Prof. IO – “The problem with grubs is still relevant in berry plants”,
  • Prof. Dr. Hab. Waldemar Treder – “Agriculture 4.0 – optimal use of water”,
  • Dr. Hab. Stanisław Pluta, Prof. IO – "Blackcurrant: production value and fruit quality of Polish varieties",
  • Dr. Małgorzata Tartanus – "The latest threats to berry plantations from pests".

During the conference at the stand of the Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute, employees presented innovative microbiologically enriched mineral fertilizers, produced as part of research conducted during the implementation of the objectives of the BIO-FERTIL project "Development of technologies for innovative microbiologically enriched mineral fertilizers", headed by prof. dr hab. Lidia Sas-Paszt.
