Monographs and dissertations

Original and peer-reviewed scientific works classified as monographs and scientific dissertations from the broadly understood area of ​​horticultural sciences, in particular from the field of fruit-growing, vegetable growing, ornamental plants and beekeeping, are published as part of the publishing series Scientific Papers of the Institute of Horticulture. Monographs and Dissertations. The works are published in Polish or English.

INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
Materials for publication should be sent by e-mail in editable form to the address of the editorial secretary: joanna.miszczak@inhort.pl.

Required information about authors:

  • surnames and first names of the author/authors (indication of the corresponding author);
  • professional or scientific affiliation;
  • email addresses and ORCID numbers;
  • contact telephone number.

Material requirements
The editors do not impose a specific form of publication, but require that the submitted materials meet the following conditions.

  • In the case of multi-authored publications, the authors of the individual chapters should be indicated. An editor of a monograph may be appointed only if there are more than four authors.
  • The work should be submitted in WORD document format; font – TIMES NEW ROMAN; without formatting (except for italics reserved for Latin names).
  • The work should include: title (in Polish and English); summary/abstract (800–1200 characters, in Polish and English); keywords (max. 6 in Polish and English); the text of the publication (with distinction of: chapters, subchapters, tables, illustrations, table of contents) and bibliography.
  • Units of measurement, prefixes, SI abbreviations or units permitted for use by the CIPM shall be given in linear notation (g kg-1).
  • Tables in editable form.
  • Vector drawings (EPS or PDF); color or raster photos (TIFF or JPG) – 300 DPI, bitmap drawings (TIFF or JPG) – 1000 DPI.
  • The bibliography in alphabetical order should include: surname and abbreviations of authors' names, year of publication, title of article/chapter, title of journal/book, volume number, publisher, pages; DOI number.
